Key Stage 4: IGCSE & BTEC
Key Stage 4 students follow a personalised curriculum tailored to their strengths, interests, and future goals. With 34 subject options—the widest choice in Bangkok—ranging from core academics to specialist courses like dance, photography, economics, and STEAM, our programme empowers students to build a broad, balanced education and develop valuable, transferable skills.
We offer IGCSE and BTEC courses for our students in Year 10 and Year 11.
Key Stage 5:
St Andrews Bangkok students choose to pursue the full IB Diploma (IBDP), IB Courses, IB Career-related Programme (IBCP), or an appropriately challenging combination of IB Courses, BTEC, and/or School-Based curriculum in Year 12 and 13. Students can select their own curriculum, subjects, and course levels, guided by recommendations from teachers, IB Coordinators and counsellors.
IBDP
Students completing the IBDP study 6 subjects—three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL)—as well as complete an Extended Essay, a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course and a balanced Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) programme.
IBCP
The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) is a two-year pathway combining academic study with career-focused learning. Students choose subjects that align with their goals, including at least two IB Diploma courses, a career-related research project, and a core curriculum focused on skills, service, language, and reflection. The programme offers hands-on, project-based learning and personalised support, preparing students for university, apprenticeships, or work.
BTEC
Level 3 International BTECs are academically rigorous, career-focused qualifications. A BTEC Subsidiary Diploma is equivalent to one HL IB course; a BTEC Diploma is a double award comparable to two HL IB courses. The BTEC approach is convenient. Your child will develop career-based competencies by applying what they've learnt in the classroom to real-life scenarios. Our Year 12 and 13 BTEC programme, which runs in parallel with our IBDP courses, provides an additional pathway to outstanding career or university destinations.
